Description
Welcome to the second cornerstone module of DxR Academy’s medical education program. This course deepens your understanding of clinical reasoning and diagnostic decision-making, focusing on one of the most frequent and complex patient complaints: abdominal pain.
This course is divided into 3 sections:
- Self-paced: Learn at your own pace without instructor guidance.
- Intermediate: Cover the same content as self-paced, but with an instructor.
- Advanced: Apply your knowledge using our DxR Clinician software.
We recommend starting with either the self-paced or intermediate section, depending on your preference for independent or instructor-led learning. Both cover the same material, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of abdominal anatomy, pain characteristics, and diagnostic approaches. Once you’ve completed either of these, you’ll be ready to tackle the advanced section, where you’ll apply your skills to realistic, simulated patient scenarios using DxR Clinician.
In this module, you’ll learn to differentiate between various causes of abdominal pain, understand the importance of patient history and physical examination, and develop a structured approach to diagnosing abdominal complaints. From simple gastritis to life-threatening conditions, you’ll gain the skills to navigate the wide spectrum of abdominal pain presentations.
